Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park

Berlin is one of those ghost towns where you can tread down the deserted streets, and look through the deserted windows. At certain points of the year, you can also explore other features of the park, such as the mine that once fueled this town and, more famously, the Ichthyosaur fossils.

 Directions

To get to Berlin from Austin, head west on US50 about 65 miles to the SR361. Head south (towards Gabbs) for another 30 miles, then turn east on SR844 and from there it is about 50 miles to the Berlin Ichthyosaur State Park.
