Description

Black Canyon River Adventures is located in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The Black Canyon of the Colorado River is below the Hoover Dam and north of Lake Mohave. The canyon region features sand beaches, spectacular sheer cliffs rising 2000 ft from the river's edge, and coves--mostly only accessible by water.

Large motorized rafts depart from the base of the Hoover Dam and float through the Black Canyon ending at Willow Beach, on the Arizona side of the river. Plan for a scenic float trip taking about 3 hours; voyagers have the opportunity to swim and enjoy the water below the Hoover Dam, take photos and watch for wildlife. At Willow Beach Marina, watercraft and kayak rentals are available for fishing and exploration. Located less than an hour from the Las Vegas strip--with hotel pick up optional or free self-parking available.
