Ely KOA

Slideshow image

The Ely KOA proves there's more to Nevada than casinos and neon. It's situated where high desert meets the mountains of Great Basin National Park, with meadows, forests, wildflowers, streams and lakes and the fascinating marble and limestone formations of Lehman Caves. The 19th-century silver-mining industry brought people flocking to the state in search of wealth (like today!), leaving behind plenty of ghost towns to explore. Ride the Ghost Train of Ely for a trip into the past.

Present-day recreation includes garnet hunting, trout fishing, boating and swimming on Cave Lake. Fishing gear and bait are available in the campground store. Enjoy grassy tent sites, shade trees, nightly outdoor movies, scavenger hunts, ice cream socials and miniature burros at KOA. And your horse (of course) will appreciate KOA's on-site corral.
