Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is certainly one of the premier aquariums in the entire world. With approximately 550 different species on exhibit, a 3 story, 350,000 gallon main tank and an over 1,000,000 gallon Outer Bay tank, you can easily spend an entire day here. Sharks and tuna to penguins and rays are just a fraction of the over 350,000 plants and animals on display. About 1.8 million people visit the aquarium each year.

Zagat Survey rated The Monterey Bay Aquarium the nation's top aquarium (and No. 3 among all family attractions in the U.S.).
