Description

Stokes Castle is exactly that, a castle, built on half a whim by Anson Stokes and lived in only briefly. It's three stories tall and constructed of granite blocks and mortar. As a very unique monument to the world of the late nineteenth century and as a genuine oddity, it's well worth a visit.
