Family Friendly Reno Hotels

Description

Reno, like Vegas, is known as an adult destination famous for gambling and nightlife. But it isn’t all designed for adults. There is plenty of stuff to do in town for families with children. But where do you stay in Reno if you’re bringing the kids along? We offer a description of three family friendly Reno hotels that will satisfy both adults and kids.

Circus Circus Reno may have been the first place you thought of, and for good reason. This hotel and casino offers affordable rooms and plenty of entertainment for everyone in the family. Kids and parents alike will enjoy the Midway of Fun, which features 28 carnival games and 28 redemption games such as Skee Ball and Camel Races. The Midway Stage features free circus shows including Imperial Acrobats of China, JR Johns dog show, and Bounce. There is a video arcade with over 60 games, and there are at least 6 restaurants at the hotel. Adults can enjoy grown up games in the 65,000 square foot casino.

The Peppermill Hotel Casino truly offers the best of both worlds for both kids and parents (but steps it up a notch for the adults). The kids will enjoy the Arcade Xtreme with over 100 of the latest and most popular games. There is even a VIP arcade club for the most diehard gamers, and the ticket and prize games offer a chance to win iPods and Nintendo Wii’s. Both children and parents will enjoy the large and extravagant resort pools with waterfall, private cabanas, and spa. Every room in the Peppermill has a 42” LCD television for families to enjoy. Parents may be happy to visit the casino, lounge, or nightclub on site.

In our opinion, the most unique and family friendliest of Reno hotels is the Grand Sierra. This hotel gets families out into the amazing Tahoe and Sierra Nevada wilderness through its Grand Sierra Adventures. Anything from skiing, golfing, scenic boat rides, scenic flights, snowmobiling, bus tours, ATV and motorcycle rentals, you name it, can be arranged through the hotel. The Fun Quest video arcade not only features hundreds of games, it has a 1,000 square ft track for remote control cars. Guests can use their own RC cars or rent one. There is a bowling alley, movie theatre, go kart course, miniature golf course, thrill park, and even a man made beach on site. All this excitement might even be enough to distract parents from the excellent bars, lounges, and gambling on the property.
