Description

Big Piney River offers 21 miles of excellent opportunity to take limits of bass, sunfish, and catfish. There are 6 boat access points found within the National Forest Boundary Area along the river, many of which offer forested camping and picnic facilities. Big Piney River winds through some of the most beautiful scenic areas of the Ozarks. You'll enjoy fishing here.

Basic Directions

Starting from Houston, Mo and moving north;
Dogs Bluff - 3 miles west of Houston on Hwy 17, MDC maintained concrete ramp and picnic area.
Mineral Springs -3 mile northwest of Houston City limits on Mineral Drive, MDC maintained concrete ramp.
Boiling Springs - west of Hwy 63 on State Route BB, MDC maintained concrete ramp and picnic area.
Mason Bridge - 8 miles west of Licking on Hwy 32, MDC maintained concrete ramp.
Slabtown Access - west of Licking from Hwy 32 turn right on Hwy N then Left on Hwy AF to Slabtown, Forest Service maintained gravel ramp and picnic area.
Peter Eck Conservation Area - 2 miles north of Slabtown, MDC maintained area no access available.
Ross Bridge Access - Approx. 3 miles west of Duke on Hwy K, MDC maintained gravel bar.
Eastgate Access - 2 mileswest of Hwy J on East Gate Road at Fort Leonard Wood Boundary, Forest Service maintained gravel/dirt ramp.
Booker Bend Access- Approx. 4 miles west of Hwy J on Forest Service Road 1730, Forest Service maintained gravel/dirt ramp.
