This route offers stark vistas of the adjacent Browns Park area. Red sandstone and ponderosa pine forest line the boulevard, with side trails snaking up draws to the north boundary of Dinosaur National Monument. The road is relatively flat, but the four-wheel drive side trails are very rough, with steep grades and rocky outcrops. Big game wildlife such as mule deer and elk are easy to see in this isolated area.
