Draining the heart of Olympic National Park, the picturesque Hoh River offers visitors an excellent mix of bubbly beginner whitewater and amazing scenery. Winding through the Hoh Rainforest, the aptly named Hoh River’s chilly waters are tinted a milky turquoise by glacial silt suspended in meltwaters from glaciers on the north face of Mt. Olympus. In addition, rainwaters exceeding 150 inches annually feed the Hoh.

The Hoh has a long season due to its glacially fed nature, flowing for the majority of the year at boatable levels past banks tangled with verdant forests of moss, lush fir and groundcovers. Views of the majestic Olympic Mountains break through the greenery and wildlife such as Elk, Deer, and Raptors occasionally make appearances as well. Visitors of all ability and experience levels will enjoy a day float upon the Hoh.
