Once the sun slips behind flanking forest, the lights of Reno set this little urban hub in northwestern Nevada to shining as befits a place recognized for its numerous casinos and proximity to both ski slopes and Lake Tahoe.
A steep uphill climb to Copper Ridge and rapid descent down the other side provide great views of the Steamboat Springs area and the surrounding countryside. From the route's end at the hot springs, riders may return via the same route or follow County Road 129 back to their starting point.
