If you’re traveling to Vegas to party with the young and hip crowd, there are a couple Las Vegas hotels top the list, and may even be within your budget. The location of these hotels—off of the Vegas strip—may fly against your instincts, but these hotels are the center of the action for young visitors. The Palms Las Vegas and the Hard Rock Hotel are your best choices for a young and hip Vegas experience. This isn’t to say you can’t find happening night clubs and events at other hotels, but for the overall experience, these are the best picks. We’ll explain why.
The Palms Las Vegas is currently the hippest and hottest hotel in town. This is due to a combination of several factors. For one, there are a couple extremely popular nightclubs and that attract A-Listers, such as The Playboy Club and The Moon nightclub (with a retractable roof). The “cave” cabanas pools are very well attended by the young and attractive attending pool parties such as “Ditch Fridays”, hosted by a popular in house DJ. MTV filmed an entire season of The Real World at the hotel where roommates lived in a custom suite, which is now available to the public for booking. MTV has also held an awards ceremony at The Palms, and the CineVegas International Film Festival is hosted annually there. A recording studio is located in the hotel, where bands such as The Killers have recorded albums. The list goes on and on, but the main thing that keeps The Palms at the top of this list is the endless stream of young, hip, and sometimes famous people who stay at the hotel and attend its events and nightclubs. Guests who can afford it can book one of the “Fantasy Suites” with varied extravagant themes. But regular rooms are sometimes as low as $90 a night, making this an affordable choice that still puts you in the middle of the most exciting nightlife Vegas has to offer.
Another excellent choice for young party going visitors is the Hard Rock Hotel. Rock music is loudly pumped throughout the casino’s sound system, where there is a frequent large gathering of young and attractive locals and tourists. It’s a fast paced and energetic scene, and more casual of an atmosphere than the club experience at The Palms. You won’t feel the need to dress up too fancy for the Hard Rock. The hotel’s pool was rated one of the top 10 in the world by the Travel Channel. The pool is sandy both on its beach and on the floor of the pool, and it is one of the hottest spots for young crowds—especially the Sunday Rehab pool party, which is raucous and well attended. The Hard Rock Hotel is affordable with rooms sometimes as low as $55. The top Las Vegas hotels for the young and hip are currently not on the Vegas Strip, but they guaranteed to put you in the center of the hottest action. And booking a room may even be within your price range.
