Drive five miles north of McGill on US 93.

Turn on State road 486 (watch for signs saying Duck Creek).

Drive 8 miles east on this paved road.

Turn at the sign for Timber Creek Campground, Forest road 425, and drive three miles east on the dirt road.

Description

Nestled high on the slopes of the Schell Creek Range Timber Creek Campground is in the middle of a spruce, fir, and aspen forest setting. Timber Creek is a perennial stream and runs through the campground, with all sites within a stone’s throw from it. Many recreation opportunities exist in this beautiful area. Such activities include hiking, birding, and horseback riding.
