The nearest airport to the Ruby Mountains is in Elko, only about 15 miles northwest. The Elko Airport is a small commercial airport with several flights daily to nearby local hubs. Car rentals are available at the airport.

Basic Directions

The Ruby Mountains are located in northeastern Nevada, about 15 miles southeast of Elko and I-80. State Routes 227, 228, and 229 head southeast from the interstate to various points in the mountain range. The mountains are also accessible from US 50 in the south via State Route 892 and a system of gravel roads.
